Course: Records Management I
Course Description
Records Management I covers records retention systems and presents a systematic approach to organizing and controlling paper, image, and computer records through their life cycles.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient records management skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

• Utilize alphabetical, numeric, geographical, and subject filing rules

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Business Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.
