Course: First Aid/CPR
Course Description
With the completion of this course, the student will understand the importance of knowing what to do in a timely manner during and shortly after a medical emergency. Students will learn basics of stopping bleeding, CPR, and maintaining a person until better help arrives.
Certificate
Completion of this course certifies proficient CPR and first aid skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

This is a competency-based course offered in open-entry/open-exit format.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Health Care Technologies Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.
