Course: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring (70-640)

 

Course Description

This course prepares students for the Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring (70-640) certification exam, which fulfills the requirements for the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification, and is one exam in Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) certification track. The goal of this course is to provide the skills needed to install, configure, manage, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows Active Directory. In particular, topics covered include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS for Active Directory, change and configuration management, as well as managing, monitoring, and optimizing the components and security of Active Directory.

 

Certificate

Completion of this course certifies proficient Windows server installation and managing skills based on a score of 80% or higher on competency exams. A Certificate of Skill Competence is available upon request.

There are no specific requirements to take this course. However, courses in the Information Technology Programs are to be taken in order. The course list can be found on the information sheet for each program or by contacting Student Services.
